•  YOGA is for EVERYONE. ANYONE can practice yoga.

•  It doesn’t matter if you are male/female, young/old, flexible/stiff, an experienced practitioner/a beginner and so on, EVERYONE can enjoy the benefits.

•  YOGA was originally created by men, taught to and practiced only by men. Nowadays EVERYONE can learn and enjoy the benefits of this ancient practice.

•  PRACTICE FLEXIBILITY not just in the BODY, but the MIND and SPIRIT as well.

•  Practice FLEXIBILITY in the BODY: keeps the body active and joints supple through a diverse range of different exercises.

•  Practice FLEXIBILITY in the MIND: discard negative preconceptions, unlock and expand the horizons of the mind to receive knowledge and insight. FREE YOUR MIND to new possibilities and challenges.

•  Practice FLEXIBILITY in the SPIRIT: let go of ego and expectations, open the heart to invite fresh, positive energy to nourish your emotions; to learn is to share, share your positive energy with others to nurture your soul and create a sense of connection with others.

•  YOGA is NOT JUST about stretching. It is not about putting one leg behind the head. It is also about CONNECTING THE BODY AND THE MIND – physically, mentally and spiritually.

•  YOGA is ALSO about STRENGTH, BALANCE, FLEXIBILITY, ENDURANCE, STAMINA, AGILITY, BREATHING, MEDITATION, ENERGY, CONCENTRATION, HEALING, RELAXATION, SELF-REFLECTION, SELF-EXPRESSION and so much more.

• YOGA is also about AN EXCHANGE and SHARING OF ENERGY: between your mind and body, between thought and action, between yourself and your surroundings, between student and teacher, between other students.

•  YOGA challenges your BALANCE through learning how and when to GIVE or TAKE, LET GO or PURSUE, alternating between EFFORT and EASE to achieve AWARENESS and EQUANIMITY.

•  YOGA is ALSO about RELAXING, having FUN, ENJOYING the experience and FEELING GOOD!

•  YOGA can be a purely physical exercise if you choose it to be such a way, but it can also be a spiritual practice if you want it to be. As with everything else, the choice is entirely up to you.

•  YOGA can be as EASY or as CHALLENGING as you want it to be.

•  RESPECT THE BODY – recognize your limitations and work with it, not against it.
